Do you hold a security deposit to rent the car?

Yes, the security deposit is $400 per hire, refundable after the hire period.

What do I need when collecting my rental car?

You require a valid and current driver’s licence and credit card.

What is your acceptable payment method?


Do I need to wash the rental car after the hire period?

Yes, NT Car Rentals expect you to return the vehicle in the same condition as received given there may be another customer waiting for the vehicle. No smoking is allowed inside the car.

Can I hire baby and booster seats?

Yes, NT Car Rentals have the baby and booster seats available at $10 per day. This can be added when you are booking online as an optional extras.

Do I have to pay for fuel?

Yes. You need to pay for any fuel that you use. We supply a full tank and expect that you’ll return the vehicle with a full tank. If you don’t, we charge $2.50 a litre for fuel.

Can I take my vehicle off-road?

No, Rental cars must be used on sealed roads. we don’t allow any of our vehicles to be used off-road or on unsealed roads and penalties apply.

What do I do in an event of an accident or collision?
